The completed model and reported TRL 5 relate to the underlying T-wire technology. This does not mean that every application described has been tested. Sector-specific integration is a further development step.
Ore and construction materials
Potential applications include carts transporting ore and construction materials. Power along the route could support repeatable transport cycles.
Gondolas and cableways
The concept includes powering cable transport equipment for goods and, in the longer term, passengers. T-wire supplies power; the load-bearing system, drive and safeguards require a separate design.
A route matched to the process
Loading and unloading points, stops and passing arrangements are key. Parameters are selected for the payload and required throughput.
What the pilot should verify
Payload, gradients, transport cycle, braking and safeguards for unplanned stops.
Scope, target parameters and acceptance criteria are agreed for a specific installation before testing.
